Following on from the successes of the previous two years, we’re making our “Solar System Scale Model” again this summer, on SATURDAY AUGUST 13th!

The model will be the same as last year – starting at the Waterside Cafe and going right down the River Kent to the Parish Church – so rather than write it all out again I’m just going to suggest you go back and look at last year’s blog pages for full details.

We do have a few changes this year:

* more telescopes will be available to show people the Sun

* EAS members and our helpers will be using Smartphones etc, to show people the very latest images of the solar system

…but the basic format will remain the same – just come along for an enjoyableand  walk along the river, and learn about the scale of the solar system, our place in it, as you enjoy some of the prettiest scenery in Kendal!
